Handmade Wedding Favours, earthy, vintage & burlap

Kasey and Stewart had an arts&crafts wedding theme and their DIY came out gorgeous.
Eco-friendly butterfly bushes and golden spirea mini plants favors are cute and easier to find a spot for than for seedlings; who has extra space for a tree? Kasey's burlap wrap presentation in hand painted wine glasses is unique and not breaking the bank.

Their center pieces were collectables from friends, family and thrift stores.
Their time Capsule Ceremony had the wedding party and immediate family members place something memorable from funny to fantastic into a box - to be opened only in ten years.

(Talking about delayed gratification)
I like to see them open it:)

A magical garden gnom wedding

Dr. Alice J. and Mr. Clark E. Nesselrodt invited to a passionate wedding, a design which was exciting to create. I worked with Giedra from GD Designers on magical centerpieces with gnomes and dripping candles, moss and natural wood embellished with bronze and gold: we created a wonderland amidst big old trees, and lit up the rustic green with elegance. And the cool lanterns and chandliers are now decorating Alice&Clark's gardens in Boston. Re-use the beauty.

The guest book was artist-created: hand made paper with hand picked feathers. The table numbers were cut from dead branches and guests loved to take home their succulents in golden mini containers.

Wedding memories right at your door step

Jill and Chris enjoyed a high spirited wedding on June 3, 2012 at the Inn of the Seventh Ray. Chris created the table numbers, four of which will make their house number for their new residence in Topanga, great and green idea, they'll have their wedding memories right at their door step.

A beach wedding and a green reception

Beach weddings set the right tone for a life together with the ocean's beauty, space and harmony, which, if all goes as planned, can't be destroyed by it's other side: the moments of rough, stormy and wild.

Julie and Michael, Topanga Beach, April 29, 2012

Julie created dried flower center pieces, the amazing lavender fragrance en wrapped the venue.

She also made gorgeous wind chimes for each guest, which they could take from the trees on the way out.

Her seating cards were hung in a frame she found in the attic.

Julie and Michael offered their guests organic food and cake and had not only amazing fun at their reception they also glow with the knowledge that their green ways might even save a polar bears life.

The vintage art of embroidery

The vintage art of embroidery fits perfectly into the down to earth creativity of contemporary weddings. Trishia and Justin chose a cartoony Racoon, which even appeared in the grooms wedding ring.

DIY Wedding Lanterns

How to create this magical sea of lanterns...

While searching for magical lighting options for Alice&Clark's "it sparkles in the woods" wedding on May 26 in an outside restaurant under big old trees I found these cute lanterns and DIY ideas.
