Garden wedding, green and glorious

Linda and Mike celebrated their wedding at the Inn of the Seventh Ray in Topanga, CA, on November 9, 2013, with happiness bursting at the seams.

Dances were choreographed.

 Birthdays were honored...

A gorgeous cake was cut.

Sparklers were lit and sparkled...

And they live happily ever after, riding his bike and her beautiful horses.

Nougat favors were enjoyed.

Giedra from GD designers did one her her cute and whimsical flowers jobs.

Angelica Weihs Events planned and coordinated the wedding. Linda and Mike expressed their happiness at weddingwire: ....Although I can be a control freak and perfectionist, for once I actually felt comfortable letting go and just letting Angelica handle everything that day. I did not peek out of my dressing room even once to check if everything was just right. And I definitely didn't need to...Not only did Angelica get every detail right, she even added a few of her own touches that improved upon the set up I had requested...."

A beach wedding and a green reception

Beach weddings set the right tone for a life together with the ocean's beauty, space and harmony, which, if all goes as planned, can't be destroyed by it's other side: the moments of rough, stormy and wild.

Julie and Michael, Topanga Beach, April 29, 2012

Julie created dried flower center pieces, the amazing lavender fragrance en wrapped the venue.

She also made gorgeous wind chimes for each guest, which they could take from the trees on the way out.

Her seating cards were hung in a frame she found in the attic.

Julie and Michael offered their guests organic food and cake and had not only amazing fun at their reception they also glow with the knowledge that their green ways might even save a polar bears life.

A stylish, smart&eco cool wedding in the woods

Cassandra and Ignacio's beautifully designed wedding in Topanga on Friday, July 15, was effortlessly eco friendly just by being creative. Of course, as the bride is Chrysalis Couture’s Creative Director and Designer Cassandra Stearns, a new emerging designer in the textile and interior design world, the concept was carried out perfectly.

The table runners are Cassandra's design. The table setting: Golden chargers, (Ikea) old fashioned restaurant plates, whimsical vintage plates. Vintage water glasses. Brass bowls and vases from Thrift and Antique stores... Blue candles with LED lights... Everything is re-usable and fun, like...

...the hand made napkin rings. Cassandra even created her own cake stands with trucs trouves: she glued whimsical glass plates onto brass and porcelain candle holders, which made the eclectic look of the cake and dessert display unique and fun.

Her new Argentinian relatives had cooked and baked for many hours, trucking in delicious chocolate mousse, flan and pies, we rarely had so much fun setting up the dessert bar.

To keep it within the looks they hand wrote their table numbers and even the candies matched...

For the chalkboards vintage frames were re-used by painting the inside with chalk board paint. The Happy hour before the wedding invited everybody to a fun and sometimes funny/spontaneous ceremony and heartfelt celebration. Cassandra created her beautiful dress from two separate articles of clothes and chose a bouquet entirely made from Kale.

Everybody played with masks and created a mini carnival for the photo booth to honor the Argentinian wedding tradition.

The Topanga stars twinkled over a unique celebration.
